Agent of Change

In are political atmosphere that we are in this election year there is a mantra being bantered about is Change. John McCain calls himself a reformer, a maverick, a person who can change Washington. Barack Obama says that he is the change agent and that the Democratic Party is the party of change. Barack Obama said that when he is elected president he will bring the waters together and heal the earth.

Look at this financial crisis we are in now. The same people who got us in this mess are the same people who are trying to get us out of it. The Government has come out and said that only they can fix the problem. Only they were smart enough to handle the crisis. Agents of change?

Are you looking for government to change your situation or to save you? Many people in government have an interesting concept of what change is. My question is; if the government is the agents of change,

Then where is the government when…..

when millions of people are becoming addicted to pornographic and families are being destroyed.

when sexual abuse is rampant in this world.

when human trafficking is going on.

when natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina happen.

when people are being tortured and murdered for their religious convictions.

when are kids are being taught about homosexuality and evolution.

when we can’t pray in public.

when they are trying to stop our freedom of speech.

And where is the government when a million and a half babies’ voices are not being heard year after year after year.

Is this the change we can believe in?

We as the church need to rethink are responsibility. We as a church need to stand up for our convictions. We as the church don’t need political parties to set are agendas or

or set our moral compass for us. We don’t need government to take care of us from cradle to grave. And we don’t need the Supreme Court to tell us the difference between right and wrong, or good and evil.

We have all we need to make a difference in our culture. We have the real Agent of Change. We have hope we can stand on. We have the Lord Jesus Christ. And that is the Agent of CHANGE we can believe in.

Do you need change…….

In your life situations, in your marriage, in your relationships, in your finances, in your addictions, in your attitude and thinking, in your kids life and your families life, do you need change and hope to make it through one more day at your job or even one more day of living this life you have?

Only Jesus Christ can bring about real change. Jesus Christ has this kind of transformation power.

Look at what Romans 12:2 says,

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Now this is Change!

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your agent of change?

If you have, follow us this week and see how you can be an Agent of Change for the Lord Jesus Christ.
